Western blot analysis for p-mTOR, TSC1 and p-tuberin (Thr1462) in NSCLC and SCLC cell lines. In GLC-8, MBA 9812 and HCC-827 cells, we found an inverse correlation between hamartin and p-mTOR concentrations. Higher TSC1 levels were associated with low levels of p-mTOR and, vice versa a substantial expression of p-mTOR was obtained in association with decreased levels of TSC1. There was no obvious correlation between p-tuberin levels with those of hamartin or p-mTOR.
