Distribution of bone marrow B-cell precursors according to the age of the patients. A- Variation observed in normal controls and reactive peripheral cytopenias. Decrease is more pronounced in subjects > 55 years old. B- B-cell precursors in MDS. The number of cells is very low, and frequently absent in patients >55 years old, but it can be present in younger persons.
