Morphologically, there was a high index of suspicion that the pancreatic lesion was an ESS, and this guided the selection of immunohistochemical markers. Immunohistochemistry showed that the tumor cells of the pancreatic lesion were positive for CD10 (a), smooth muscle actin (SMA) (b), estrogen receptor (ER) (c) and progesterone receptor (PR) (d).
