Lung metastatic melanoma – predominantly spindle cell component (a H&E stain 200x); epitheloid cell component; no melanin pigment present (b H&E staining, 200x). The neoplastic cells are melan A positive, admixt lymphocytes are negative (c IHC 100x) and MITF positive (d IHC 200x). S100 protein and S0X10 were also strongly positive, whereas HMB45 was negative (not shown)
