Morphological features of the tumor. Part of the tumor was composed of AB thymoma (a). The type A region of the thymoma consisted mainly of oval tumor cells arranged in nests with a few dispersed lymphocytes (b). The tumor cells had bland nuclei, dispersed chromatin and inconspicuous nucleoli (b). The type B area consisted mainly of lymphocytes with few small polygonal epithelial cells with bland nuclei (c, d)
